In short: SalvaZap collects no data, stores no data, and transmits no data. The app holds no internet permission, so it is technically incapable of sending information anywhere.
SalvaZap is a free Android application developed and maintained by Idevilson Junior, an individual developer, referred to below as "the developer". The app is distributed through the Google Play Store under the identifier com.idevilson.salvazap.
None. SalvaZap collects no personal data, builds no usage profiles, requires no account or sign-in, and uses no advertising identifiers.
Specifically, the app does not collect:
SalvaZap does not declare the android.permission.INTERNET permission in its manifest. This means the Android operating system prevents the app from opening any network connection. This is not merely a promise: it is a restriction enforced by the platform itself, verifiable by anyone who inspects the application package.
As a direct consequence, no data can leave your device through SalvaZap.
SalvaZap exists for a single purpose: to receive a file you shared from another app and write it to a location you choose.
The flow is as follows:
The developer has no access to these files at any point.
| Permission | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE |
Only on Android 7.0 through 9.0 (API 24 to 28) | To write the file to your chosen destination. On Android 10 (API 29) and above this permission is not requested, because the app uses the system document picker, which requires no broad storage permission. |
Access to the source file is not an installed permission: it is a temporary grant, issued by the app that shared the file, scoped to that single file, and revoked by Android afterwards.
SalvaZap integrates no third-party SDKs. There are no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, push-notification, or social-network components embedded in the app.
This is the one place where data may be collected, and it is not by the app.
Because the app is distributed through the Google Play Store, Google may collect information independently of SalvaZap, such as crash reports, install and uninstall statistics, and your device's Android version. This collection is performed by the Google Play platform, is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and lies outside the developer's control.
When a crash report reaches the developer through that channel, it contains only technical information about the error, such as the stack trace and device model. It contains no file contents and no personally identifying data.
SalvaZap is not directed at children, and collects no data from any user regardless of age.
Data protection laws such as Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grant rights of access, correction, and deletion over personal data processed by a controller.
Because SalvaZap performs no processing of personal data, there is no database to access, correct, or delete. Uninstalling the app removes it entirely from your device. Files you saved remain where you wrote them, under your control.
If the app ever begins processing data, this policy will be updated before that change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will reflect it. The complete revision history is public in the repository linked below.
